The Daytones Harmony Chorus

The Daytones Harmony Chorus is an Acapella male group based in Clifford Village that sing in four part Barbershop Harmony style. The chorus was established over thirty years ago and has been in harmony ever since with our base always being in the Wetherby area. We rehearse at Clifford Village Hall every Tuesday morning and welcome new prospective members. Our Musical Director is Steve West who brings a wealth of musical knowledge and who continues to develop the chorus repertoire and performance.
Our musical engagements have taken us around North and West Yorkshire. We have been delighted to perform at venues including Fountains Abbey cellarium, Royal Hall Harrogate and the Rowntree Theatre in York over recent years.
Our repertoire ranges from traditional songs through to close harmony arrangements of popular material. A ‘Lion King’ number may join a Louis Armstrong or Beatles number; a Maori love song may be on the same programme as a ‘Rock’n’Roll’ Medley and Amarillo.
Our Christmas repertoire is one that we look forward to performing every year as we sing some of the Christmas classics in four part harmony including such songs as O Holy Night, Winter Wonderland and The Christmas Song.
High on our agenda particularly in the lead up to Christmas is singing and collecting for local charities and we have been grateful to businesses providing us with good locations where we can perform and raise money for our chosen charities.
