John Mark Rose BA (Hons) – Piano
John Mark was born in Doncaster and educated at Chetham’s School of Music. He attended the University of York where he read Music.
John Mark has performed widely across the North of England and the Midlands. One of John Mark’s recent projects has been to perform Lennox Berkeley’s Six Preludes in eight different venues during 2023 and 2024. This project has been generously supported by the Lennox Berkeley Society.
In 2024, John Mark started work as Piano Accompanist of two choirs near his current home town of Mansfield: Bestwood Male Voice Choir and Radcliffe Ladies’ Choir. John Mark has given a number of concerts with the two choirs and has also collaborated with other choirs for concerts in Southwell, Louth, Lincoln and Nottingham.
John Mark has recently given well-received piano recitals for St Peter’s Church Cleethorpes, The Church of St Mary Magdalene Newark, Chesterfield Library, Doncaster Baptist Church, Allegro Appassionato Louth, St Peter’s Church Burnley, St Mary’s Church Hinckley and Sheffield Cathedral.
As well as performing, John Mark also teaches a growing number of private piano students.
