Grace Harman, Trumpet

Grace Harman is a Manchester-based musician who loves bringing people together through music. A First Class graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, she performs widely as a trumpeter and pianist, appearing at venues including Bridgewater Hall, Snape Maltings and Ronnie Scott’s, and at festivals such as Latitude. She’s enjoyed performing in productions like Elf the Musical on its 2024 UK tour and in Robin Redbreast with Manchester Camerata.

As a vibrant collaborator and ensemble musician, Grace has been part of creative projects across many musical worlds—including performing in Balkan Erotic Epic with Factory International, working with world-renowned performance artist Marina Abramović, and being part of the original ensemble touring the work to Barcelona in January 2026.

Grace is also active as a musical director, recently leading Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (2025), the 2025 Dick Whittington pantomime, and the 2024 production of Cinderella with Salford Arts Theatre.

She loves collaborating with fellow musicians in groups such as Brazen Brass Band and the Laiton Trumpet Quartet—both of which she helped to found and works on original arrangements for the group.

Teaching and youth music are at the heart of her work: Grace teaches with Lancashire Music Service and directs ensembles including the Kearsley Youth Brass Band, guiding young musicians through lessons, workshops and in-the-moment ensemble music-making. She also works as Outreach and Education Lead of the Cadishead Public Band, which involves conducting the Cadishead Training Band, and leading free brass workshops to local schools and communities.
