Lunchtime Concerts 12/1/2024

This trio presents Caroline on flute and piccolo, Delyth on piano and Hannah on clarinet.

Delyth was born in Wales and studied music from an early age.She studied piano and harp at The Royal Academy of Music, London, then worked as a harpist playing with many of the major London orchestras, spending some years as Principal Harp of the BBC Radio Orchestra. She now lives in Yorkshire, and has gone back to her first love, the piano. She accompanies concerts and exams and has a busy teaching practice in Leeds. She is accompanist for Village Voices in west Yorkshire and enjoys the opportunity of playing chamber music with the Aire Ensemble.
Hannah studied music at Sheffield University and then went on to do a music PGCE at Huddersfield. She plays the clarinet, saxophone and piano and has played Bass Clarinet for Airedale Symphony Orchestra and West Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra. She is also Musical Director of Village Voices choir in Baildon, and runs two online choirs, one for adults (Home Singers) and one for Accessible Inclusive Music (AIM): and inclusive children’s choir.
Caroline has been playing the flute since the age of 9 and loves sharing her enjoyment of music with audiences and students alike. She teaches privately on saxophone, clarinet and flute, preparing students for grade exams and auditions or just enthusiastic playing. She has played in a number of ensembles and as a soloist, both at home and abroad and currently plays flute and piccolo with the Chris Irvin Concert Orchestra. Caroline and Delyth provide school workshops for children as part of the ArtForms “Live Music in Schools Programme”.
